Aerial Images Indicate Iranian Naval Forces and Atomic Locations Damaged by Joint US and Israeli Airstrikes.

Multiple US and Israeli strikes has according to analysis eliminated or harmed at least eleven Iranian naval vessels starting the weekend, recently obtained satellite images demonstrate, with rocket sites and nuclear sites also being targeted.

Images of the southerly Konarak naval naval base and the Bandar Abbas installation, which is located on the Strait of Hormuz and houses the headquarters of the Iranian navy, depict black smoke pouring from multiple vessels on Monday and Tuesday.

Naval Forces Incurred Significant Damage

Among the targets eliminated was the Makran, Iran's biggest warship which had been used as a drone carrier. Satellite images displayed black smoke rising from the ship which had been stationed at the Bandar Abbas base.

Analytical evaluations indicate that no fewer than five vessels at the port were "damaged or eliminated". Photos of the south end of the harbor show smoke rising from the IRINS Makran, while another pair of ships appear to be harmed, with one visibly ablaze.

At Konarak, images show numerous damaged ships, with intelligence reports identifying impacts on six vessels. Pictures taken on the start of the week also demonstrate that multiple structures at the base have been destroyed.

"For a long time the Iranian regime has harassed commercial vessels," the head of US Central Command stated. "Now, there is not a single Iranian vessel operational in the Persian Gulf, Hormuz Strait or Gulf of Oman, and we will continue."

A number of ships reportedly sunk may have been hidden in aerial photos by weather conditions or battle damage, or struck at sea, and have yet to be fully confirmed. Additional information stated that an Iranian vessel was going down near Sri Lanka's territorial waters, resulting in a rescue operation.

Rocket Installations and Nuclear Facilities Attacked

Neutralizing Iran's rocket sites and the hindering of enrichment activities were listed as further aims of the air campaign. Aerial imagery also showed damage at the southern Khorgu base and northwestern Tabriz missile bases, and at the Konarak base, where weapons bunkers and fortifications were targeted.

Over at the Choqa Balk-e drone UAV facility to the west of the city of Kermanshah, significant damage was seen to storage buildings, bunkers and unmanned aircraft systems.

Impact was also observed at a radar site at the Zahedan airbase airbase in eastern Iran, near the frontier with Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Perhaps most notably, the most recent series of attacks have apparently focused on facilities at Natanz – widely believed to be at the heart of the country's enrichment efforts. The UN's atomic energy body commented that the damaged structures were used for access to the site's underground nuclear plant and that "no release of radioactive material" was likely.

Broader Fallout and Assessment

Military analysts suggested that the attacks appeared to have "greatly reduced" the Iran's naval capability to sustain conventional attacks using its largest warships. But, it was emphasised that Tehran still has the ability to launch unconventional attacks at sea through the use of unmanned aerial vehicles, midget subs and its so-called "clandestine network" of tankers.

The full scale of the damage caused to Iranian military facilities is still uncertain, with attacks reportedly ongoing. Photos also reveals extensive destruction to the main offices of the Iran's Revolutionary Guards in the capital Tehran.

A large number of public facilities also appear to have been struck in the capital city and throughout Iran since the hostilities escalated. Casualty figures from local officials suggest that hundreds of non-combatants may have been fatally injured in the bombardment.

As the situation develops, review of aerial photographs will persist to track the evolving military landscape.
