Recent details have emerged concerning the tragic deaths of esteemed filmmaker Rob Reiner and photographer Michele Singer Reiner, whose bodies were discovered at their residence home on Sunday.

A Discovery

A source indicates citing a person close to the family, a practitioner scheduled for an session initially became concerned after failing to get inside the house. The practitioner then reached out to the couple's daughter, Romy Reiner, who resides in the vicinity.

After gaining access to the residence, Romy came upon her father's body. Accounts indicate she then exited the property overwhelmed with grief, unaware at that moment that her mother's body was also present. Her roommate who had accompanied her promptly called 911. Afterward, paramedics found Michele Singer Reiner's body.

Criminal Proceedings

The police have charged the couple's 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, with the charges of murder in the first degree, as well as the use of a dangerous weapon, reportedly a knife. He is now being held and denied bail.

Clarifications

The person close to the family questioned several earlier details. It was stated that while Romy Reiner told first responders that her brother Nick lived in a guesthouse on the property, she did not identify him as a suspect at that moment.

The source also disputed widely reported suggestions that Rob and Michele Singer Reiner had been especially "concerned" about Nick's actions in the preceding period. The source claimed the family was "familiar with working through [Nick's] problems together."

Nick Reiner was arrested at around 9:30 p.m. on Sunday in the Exposition Park, about 15 miles from the scene. He was set to have a hearing on Tuesday, but his lawyer, Alan Jackson, said his client had a medical issue and would not appear until Wednesday at the earliest.
