A revitalized the Russian player secured his initial trophy for nearly 30 months with victory over Corentin Moutet in the Almaty Open title decider.
Medvedev, a former world number one, has had a challenging period, winning just a single victory at the Grand Slams and undergoing a difficult moment at the New York tournament.
The player's varied form on the tennis tour - and struggles with his service game in especial - caused him exiting of the elite rankings and finally separating with former trainer Gilles Cervara.
Now working with his coach and Rohan Goetzke, he has gradually progressed in the last few weeks - culminating in a tightly fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 triumph over opponent Corentin Moutet.
It is his maiden title after the Rome competition and initial on a hard surface after spring of that year.
Success also indicates he has won twenty-one championships at 21 various events.
"This marks the first occasion I have attended a competition with my children at once, so to win a title is really nice," said world number 14 Daniil Medvedev.
"This championship is in honour of my second daughter Victoria, because the initial championship I won when my older daughter my daughter was born was for her."
The tennis star, the past champion, had lost his last six finals, comprising in the German tournament previously this season.
His defensive approach and regular outbursts on the playing surface had caused commentators to doubt if his capacity to compete at the elite level was over.
But the 29-year-old has implemented adjustments in the last few weeks, making an effort to come to the net and perform aggressively, supported by an enhanced serve.
The champion fought back from a deficit in the opening set against the difficult Moutet, winning 4 of the concluding five points to go ahead.
Both players swapped service breaks in the middle set before the challenger, striving for his initial tour championship, took control to push for a third set.
The opponent defended four early-game chances in a competitive third set before the champion won the break to 15 to close out the victory.
Suitably, he clinched victory with a rally at the front of the court, with Moutet failing to control a shot after over two and a half hours.
